Privacy Policy

What stays on your Mac

Your schedules, which AI services you choose to block, your severity choices, your self-ransom price, and your manual-block state are all stored locally and are never uploaded. They live in macOS app preferences and, for block state, in /Library/Application Support/LessLLM/. The app does not phone home. There is no account and no login.

What leaves your device

Only three things, and only as described here:

1. Coverage-gap reports. Only when you click “Report a Coverage Gap” in the app. That sends the domain you flag — and an optional screenshot you attach — to our email relay (a Cloudflare Worker that forwards to email via Resend). Nothing is sent automatically.
2. Self-ransom payments. Handled by Stripe Checkout. Stripe receives your payment details directly; LessLLM never sees or stores your card number. See Stripe’s own privacy policy for how Stripe handles that data.
3. Anonymous download count. The website tallies downloads with no personal data (Cloudflare Analytics Engine).

What we never collect

We never collect any of the following:

• Your prompts or AI chat content.
• Your browsing.
• Which AI services you actually use.
• Your schedules.
• Any usage analytics from the app itself.

Diagnostic and crash logs

Diagnostic and crash logs are written locally through macOS unified logging (os_log) and are not transmitted anywhere.
